Kyra gave bearth to 1 kit; a black mitt angora jill. Mother and baby are doing well.
While Kyra has just 1 kit, she will hopefully help Lavinia feeding.

All three litters are doing great. With Liberty Girl they all opened their eyes. With Bailey the first one is already peeping through one eye. With Pearl the colours are becoming clear. Probably 2 Marked white and 2 sable. It looks like the dark kits in Bailey's litter are going to be black. But here we keep some elbow room.

All kits in these three litters have been reserved!

Khan has left to a new home. As a hob it wasn't working with him and he was sitting pathetic in his cage. Daphne loved to have a large hob and because we knew what he could expect with here, we let him go with an easy mind. We now know that he finds it to his liking and that we made a good choice.

In the mean time we know that Kyra and Lavania are pregnant. Unfortunately Breezer is also pregnant, while she has been covered by Red Bull to be pseudopregnant. We hope she doesn't have too many kits because she must help Lavinia with breastfeeding. This means waiting.

The kits of Liberty Girl and Bailey are doing well.

In Liberty Girl's litter some kits opened their eyes. Suddenly they become real ferrets.

For Bailey's kits we still have to wait a little while. The colours can't be recognized yet.
Here is still 1 jill available.

In Pearl's litter there are sadly just 4 left; 2 hobs and 2 jills. Because the other its had no suckingreflex, the didn't make it. The 4 survivors are doing very well now. Pearl is taking good care of them. They trebled their weight.

Yesterday Pearl gave birth to 8 kits; 3 hobs and 5 jills. This litter hasn't been planned. Pearl was covered by Red Bull who was supposed to be unfertile. However unexpected, this litter isn't less welcome and we'll look for good new owners.
Pearl's babies are doing very well.

On friday 30th march Bailey gave birth to 6 kits; 3 hobs and 3 jills. They all are doing well.

Lavinia has also been covered. Here also we need to have some patience.

All kits from Liberty Girl are reserved and from Bailey there is 1 more chocolat jill available.

There are 9 kits left, who are doing great. There are 3 hobs and 6 jills.

Kyra has been covered on 18 th March. This means some patience till birth.

This morning Liberty Girl gave birth to 10 kits. All went well and the kits are drinking good.

Next week we'll look for the sexes; for now we leave the family in peace.

We just need a new abacus because we miscalculated 2 days.

Recently we joined a union of German ferretbreeders, Zuchtbund Niedersachsen, and the asscociation Frettchenfreunde Osnabrück. That's why on 3rd March all our breedingferrets are examined. They all pasted the test. This means, that they are admitted in their books and that their offspring is admitted. The born litters are reported, the kits are examined and the get a registered pedegree from the union.
We are very proud to be the 1st dutch ferretbreeder accepted by the union.

2 of our jills are pregnant already. They are due to deliver at 16th (Liberty Girl) and 30st March (Bailey).

The other jills are coming in heat now and will soon be covered.

Unfortunately we had to change our breedingplan a little bit. The differance in weight between Khan and Lavinia is to much and this would cause a problem for Lavinia giving bearth; te kits could be to big for her. Therefor we looked for a smaller hob and have decided to go for Kioko, a hob from the litter Red Bull with Bailey in 2011. We also expect them to get beautiful kits.

On saturday 3rd december we went with 6 of our ferrets to Mönchengladbach (G). Here also our ferrets won nice prizes. Also Pelle was one of the winners. Even though it was very cold the atmosphere was very good.

2x a 2nd prize with Liberty Girl and Khan
a 3rd prize with Lavinia
3x a 4th prize with Chewbacca, Bailey and Loki
and a 4th prize with Pelle (for Daphne)

Since last week we've got a new pet, a Beagle, named Duke. See his pictures on "our other pets".

Last saturday we went to Osnabrück (G) to a ferretshow with 4 of our ferrets. what we didn't expect but did hope, really happened. We won 4 prizes.

2x a 1st prize with Loki an Liberty Girl
a 2nd prize with Chewbacca and
a 3d prize with Lavinia.

Ofcourse we are very proud at our winners. Fortunately they don't realize what happened or they would become conceited.

We've got a beautiful new jill, Liberty Girl from Bunch of Colors. We're really happy with her. Next year she will be covered by Loki (look at her own page and Breedingplans 2012)

All kits found a new home and left. We wish their owners as well as the kits lots of fun with eachother. We kept 4 kits our self.

For this year the ferretseason is over and we are already looking forward to next year. The provisional breedingplans are ready.
